Nedgia is committed to generating employment in each of the places where it is present and contributing to local economic development, and to this end focuses on purchasing from local suppliers, who are part of the company’s supply chain. In this respect, it has a responsible supply chain management policy to minimise risks and ensure proper management in areas such as environment, safety, human rights, labour practices and corruption.
Cybersecurity, a priority at Nedgia
The increase in devices connected to the network has forced organisations to establish new defence mechanisms to prevent attacks on their information security. As a gas distributor, Nedgia takes responsibility for ensuring robust networks and considers the protection of its infrastructure a priority. The Cybersecurity Plan, included in the objectives of Nedgia’s 2022-2025 Sustainability Plan, seeks to increase prevention, protection and investigation of cyber-attacks and, consequently, to strengthen the company’s resilience in digital environments in order to ensure the protection of all its assets.

Some interesting facts As a distribution company, we are responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the more than 53,800 kilometres of natural gas network that are connected to more than 5.4 million supply points in almost 1,150 municipalities. This network carries the natural gas that end consumers contract from the marketing companies.
Award for the Best Data Governance, Strategy and Culture Project 2021
Nedgia received the Award for the Best Data Governance, Strategy and Culture Project 2021, awarded by the CDO Club Spain & Latam. The project focuses on data use cases to support business objectives and build a data-centric architecture. It started in December 2020 and involved multidisciplinary teams. The award recognises Nedgia as a transformational and innovative company in the energy sector.
Prize at the enerTIC Awards for its project “dynamic maintenance”
Nedgia received an award at the enerTIC Awards for its project “dynamic maintenance”, which was recognised in the “Zero Emission” category for its innovation in reducing CO2 emissions. The project uses algorithmic models to optimise the maintenance of Nedgia’s assets, ensuring their safety and availability at a lower cost. The award was given out of more than 100 projects submitted and recognised 10 managers and 15 projects in total.
