NEDGIA, the natural gas distribution company of the Naturgy group, has appointed Juan Manuel Belda as the new General Manager of NEDGIA Cegas, its subsidiary in the Region of Valencia. Juan Manuel Belda replaces Celestina López who will go on to lead the Operations Department of NEDGIA in the northern zone.
The new Director of NEDGIA Cegas is from Valencia and holds a higher industrial engineering qualification from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Juan Manuel Belda has over 20 years of experience with the Naturgy group and has held several positions of responsibility in the field of natural gas distribution and at NEDGIA Cegas specifically (formerly Gas Natural Cegas) in the Region of Valencia, where he was delegate in three provinces. He subsequently went on to manage NEDGIA Castilla-La Mancha, NEDGIA Madrid and NEDGIA Catalunya.
NEDGIA has demonstrated its commitment to the Region of Valencia by appointing someone to manage operations by the distribution company who has broad knowledge of the region, and extensive experience and history at the company.
The new General Manager of NEDGIA Cegas takes up the challenge of continuing the expansion of the natural gas distribution network in the Region of Valencia and encouraging the new uses for this energy, which include the implementation of sustainable mobility with natural gas and the promotion of renewable gas.
Juan Manuel Belda will combine his position as General Manager of NEDGIA Cegas with his management of the NEDGIA distribution companies in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.

NEDGIA Cegas is the natural gas distribution company of the Naturgy group in the Region of Valencia, where it supplies natural gas to 205 municipalities, meaning that 87% of the population has access to this source of energy. The company manages over 663,000 supply points and a distribution network spanning 8,800 kilometres.
