Narcís de Carreras (Barcelona, 1967) has been appointed as our new chief executive officer. The new CEO has worked in the Naturgy group for almost 15 years, and since 2016 has been the group’s Country Manager in Mexico, one of the company’s main Latin American markets.
The appointment is part of the new management organisation approved within the Naturgy group and announced at the end of July. Narcís de Carreras replaces Nuria Rodríguez, who has led the company since January 2018 when the natural gas distributor’s new brand was created, following the sale of 20% of the Naturgy group’s gas distribution activity to Allianz and CPPIB.
Narcís de Carreras is a business graduate and has an MBA from ESADE Business School.
He has worked in the energy sector since the beginning of his professional career and has held positions of responsibility in different international companies in the banking, industry, consultancy and engineering sectors, which have led him to live outside of Spain for several years.
Narcís began his career at Naturgy (then Gas Natural) in 2006, holding different positions until 2013, when he moved to Mexico to begin working as Sales Director for Latin America. Later, at the end of 2015, he was appointed Country Manager of Naturgy in Mexico until last July when he was appointed CEO of NEDGIA.
