Raquel Vallejo, nova directora de NEDGIA Castela-A Mancha

Miguel Martín, who was the general manager until now, will go on to run NEDGIA’s Large Consumption National Accounts Department.

NEDGIA, the natural gas distribution company of the Naturgy group, has appointed Raquel Vallejo as the new General Manager of NEDGIA Castilla-La Mancha, its subsidiary in the autonomous region, to replace Miguel Martín, who will go on to run NEDGIA's Large Consumption National Accounts Department.

With a degree in public works from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Raquel Vallejo had held various positions of responsibility within the Naturgy group for 20 years until three years ago, when she started managing NEDGIA Galicia.

The new general manager, who has extensive experience and knowledge of the energy sector, aims to continue expanding the natural gas distribution networks in the region to bring this energy to as many people in Castilla-La Mancha as possible, as well as encouraging and increasing the new uses for natural gas, which include the implementation of sustainable mobility with natural gas and the promotion of renewable gas.

Raquel Vallejo will combine her position as General Manager of NEDGIA Castilla-La Mancha with her management of the NEDGIA distribution companies in Andalusia and Madrid.

 

New reality, new challenges

NEDGIA is firmly committed to a decisive contribution from natural gas to improving air quality in Spanish cities. To that end, it is working to develop innovative and efficient solutions for bringing natural gas to new users and promoting the new uses for gas, such as sustainable mobility as an alternative to traditional fuels or renewable gas as a sustainable and competitively affordable option for building a carbon-free energy system and combating climate change.

Furthermore, the company is working to digitalise all its processes in order to make the most of new technologies for making its business more efficient and effective, and connecting with the more technological and demanding reality.

 

Operations in Castilla-La Mancha

NEDGIA Castilla-La Mancha, the natural gas distribution company of the Naturgy group in the region, has over 267,000 supply points and a distribution network spanning over 4,100 kilometres in 78 towns and cities. The company generates more than 70 direct jobs and almost 1,500 indirect jobs, mainly through partner companies throughout Castilla-La Mancha.
