Once the works have been completed, the hotel group will reduce the amount of its energy bill and will contribute to the inhabitants of and visitors to Benicassim, Benidorm, Oropesa del Mar and Peñíscola breathing cleaner air.
Nedgia Cegas, our wholesale consumption department, has reached an agreement with Hoteles Servigroup to connect our distribution network to the modern natural gas boilers that the chain is changing in ten hotels located in Benicassim, Benidorm, Oropesa del Mar and Peñíscola, this year.
The hotel group, whose headquarters is in Benidorm, is the leading company in the sector in the Valencian region, where it has 18 establishments along the Mediterranean coast, with a capacity of 10,000 beds. In light of its activity stopping due to the public health crisis, Hoteles Servigroup is renovating the facilities of several hotels in the chain, so that they now use natural gas, a more efficient fuel that enables them to considerably reduce the amount of their energy bills. In addition to being a cleaner energy, it emits 660 tonnes of CO2 less into the atmosphere per year, the equivalent to planting 16,923 trees per year, contributing to offering more sustainable tourism and enabling inhabitants and visitors to breathe purer air.
The technology that functions with natural gas can currently meet the needs of all the services offered in the hotel establishments, from catering to heating, refrigeration and hot water services. This energy is an ally for the hotel sector as it is more economical, efficient and sustainable, increasing its competitive window compared to competitors and improving the quality of the service provided to its customers.
