Nedgia endorses the commitment to health and safety of the Naturgy group in the Global Health and Safety Policy and implemented in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS), audited and certified in the ISO 45001 standard. This is based on 5 principles that govern all activities.

3. Safety is a Management responsibility

… and should be managed as such.

4. Security is an individual responsibility

… and a condition of employment and recruitment for partner companies.

Precursors of Serious and Fatal Injuries Project

Nedgia’s Precursors to Serious and Fatal Injuries (PLGF) project aims to reduce serious and fatal accidents through an innovative approach. It focuses on analysing pre-fatal accident factors for both the company’s internal staff and contractors. It aims to detect and prevent risks that can lead to serious and fatal injuries in a comprehensive and proactive manner. To achieve this, a comprehensive programme has been implemented for partner companies, as well as a training programme to raise staff awareness of the importance of the PLGF.

Nedgia Team Commitment to Safety

As a distribution company, we are responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the more than 53,800 kilometres of natural gas network that are connected to more than 5.4 million supply points in almost 1,150 municipalities. This network carries the natural gas that end consumers contract from the marketing companies.

Safety and Health Leadership Awards

The employees themselves nominated colleagues who they consider to be leaders in safety and health by their daily behaviour. The event was attended by 56 people, demonstrating that health and safety is an important issue for workers.

Safety Day

On World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Nedgia celebrated its commitment with different activities organised by the Nedgia Quality, Prevention and Safety team. These included webinars and interviews with special guests focusing on this important area for the company.
